Impressionistic Style Painting: Painting Like The Masters

Mondays 1-4pm:

January 22- March 4: 6 weeks (no class Feb 9)

This class is intended for students who want to achieve a more Impressionistic painting approach with acrylics. In this course we will recreate 2-3 Impressionist paintings of the Great Masters such as Paul Cezanne, Vincent Van Gogh & Paul Gauguin.    We will analyze and pick apart color palettes and brushstrokes in order to replicate their style onto our own canvases.  Learning how to mix colors and paint in their styles will help you develop a deeper understanding of Impressionism, and add to your painting skill set.  Lessons will be taught in steps so that you can learn and practice techniques while building confidence with this style.   For returning students new subject matter will be used for lessons.
