Impressionistic Style Painting (Not for true beginners)

Monday 1:00-4:00pm

6 weeks: Jan 27-March 10 (no class 2/17)

This class is intended for students who want to achieve a more Impressionistic painting approach with acrylics. Subject matter in this course will focus on brushwork and painting expressively.  Classes will begin with a short demonstration and discussion based on Impressionistic techniques such as brush strokes, color, and paint application. Emphasis will be placed on loosening up brushwork and building up layers of color to create depth and interest.  Lessons will be taught in steps so that you can learn and practice techniques while building confidence with this style.
